I encourage families in private lessons to have their studio teachers reach out to public school teachers (or vice versa) so that communication is open -this can be so valuable! The musical journey is smoother with integrated support.

I spent a year teaching a middle school orchestra and was able to build a richer experience for each student when I had more context on techniques they were working on and how.

Several of my families have their students at a local music-centered private school. I am lucky to be associated with their violin teacher at school and we share notes about how to better support students that we are both working with.

I encourage you to open these conversations! Your students will feel great to have the extra, tailored support.
