Why Suzuki Method?
The Suzuki approach develops not just musical skill, but character, discipline, and confidence. Students learn in an encouraging environment where mistakes are part of growth and every achievement is celebrated. Music should be fun—and that joy fuels lasting commitment and progress.
My Background
I began my own violin journey at age 4 with Max Mandel, concertmaster of the Phoenix Symphony, and continued performance studies at BYU with Donna Fairbanks, PhD. My diverse performing experience spans classical orchestras, Irish ensembles, and rock bands—from the Capitol Theatre during the 2002 Olympics to Opening Night at Sundance Film Festival.
As a certified Suzuki violin teacher (Suzuki Association of the Americas) and Executive Board member of the Suzuki Association of Utah, I’m committed to upholding the highest standards of this joyful teaching tradition. I’m also a current Suzuki parent myself, supporting my 10-year-old on his musical journey—I understand the family experience from both sides.
