Here are some tips for double-checking your memorization of a piece:

After you have learned the piece, try playing it with the right hand on the piano from each section of the music. This ensures that you have an understanding of the actual notes -not just the muscle memory of playing the piece.

(When we rely on muscle memory we run the risk of having muscle memory lapses due to perception shifts that may happen when we are on stage.)

Another very helpful tip: try singing the piece while fingering the piece with the left hand, while not holding the bow.
